Well someone else has finally spoiled it.

Another person has ordered an item and not paid for it (you know who you are).

As I remind people that this isnt a business I cant afford to stand out for this sort of money on a repeat basis.

From now on I will have no choice but to ask for moneyup front for everything, no matter how small.

Sorry but what can I do, a few people spoil it for the majority.

Sorry to hear that Rob. Whoever that person is - take a good look at yourself. As Rob says he's not running a business, rather doing good turns to us all at no profit and huge personal expense in terms of time and effort.
Cheers

also sorry to hear that rob .......

for the very reason that has caused rob loss i only accept orders for things once they have been paid for.

whoever the person is - maybe it would be nice to show a little respect to someone who has tried to help you and pay up. as rob says he does not run a business and only takes orders to help people out. i don't think he should lose out because someone can't play the game.

I agree with all of the above. I've been in that situation myself a number of times and it's a shame how many times you get your fingers burned when you're doing someone else a favour.

To the "people that know who they are" :x grrr

I learned my lesson with Kenwood Car Audio.

Many people ask me to buy it direct as it's much cheaper than retail cost. I usually paid for it first then collect my $$$ back when they pick up the stock from me. Sometime I do the delivery myself.

I delivered a TV monitor to a friend once (hes not my friend now). I paid over $3000.00 it. Well, I got $1500.00 and he asks if the remaining $1500.00 can be paid in 2 weeks time.

I went out of my way to help a friend and thats what I got back.

I collected the remaining $1500 two weeks later and gave him the big goodbye.

Sorry to hear that Rob but cash up front is absolutely fine by me, no worries on that front m8 but, to be honest, that's just what I'd expect. Thanks for all your help in the past. I hope this doesn't put you off doing us the favours that you do. Thanks again.
