After a hard days work I managed to install my new set of doorpins (by richbrook) :D I got them 20 euros (in Greece) and I can say, it was really difficult to remove the old ones :x Whoever wants to do the same I suggest to follow the instructions of our German friends at http://www.ccfreunde-nrw.de/usefull/bas ... rpins.html .
Cheers,

No AlexLS. Without the LEDs. They cost about 13 pounds in UK as far as I know, and the shipping cost is 15 pounds. So I got them with 12.5 pounds only (20 euros) :!:

So from looking at the pictures, you need to annihilate the existing plastic(?) doorpin, do you?

Hi everybody!

Hope you don't mind me joining your forum (I havent' got a CC). I want to change the door pins on my XSi, but can't quite work out how to remove the door panels. Could someone help, please??? (I can only find 2 screws - is that it or are there more hidden somewhere and once the screws are off, how do you remove the panel) As my car is a 2002 model, is removing the panels a problem with the side airbags?

Thanks.

On the cc there are 4 screws to remove the door panel. One in the door handle, one at the side where the latch is and two on the hinge side. One of those is hidden behind the trim which covers the mirror (where the tweeters go). Remove the trim and you can see the screw. Once all the screws are removed you need a little bit of force to pull it off the door. I would go buy some plastic clips first cause inevitably they can get broken. I've removed mine so often now that I'm going to get some new ones from BMW (The story is I helped to replace speakers in my sister's Mini and they were so hard to get out cause the plastic clips holding the trim are much better quality than the Peugeot ones) to replace them. Hope this helps. You can always go into Halfords and sneak a peak at the Haynes Manual.

As for side airbags - aren't they usually in the seats, not the door?

Don't know but I guess I'll find out (sure hope you're right though). I might give my friendly Peugeot dealer a call to check.

Imran at Warwick Wright City in London (on Mile End Road). The guy is very nice and helpful  (he got me a car in 2 weeks with the full sp kit fitted and because there wasn't a handbook available when I picked up the car, he showed me how everything worked and what all the buttons did. He also called me a couple of days later to make sure that everything was ok. So far the car is great and without a single squeak or rattle

AlexLS: yes, you're right - I've just had a word with Peugeot and the side airbags are located in the seat frame
