Renault Mégane Coupé/Cabrio spy shot !
Text from the Cabriault clubsite :
Our spy photographers have managed to snap the forthcoming Megane Coupe Cabriolet, set to debut at next year's Geneva Motor Show. The new variant's boot comes almost flat out of the C-pillars, while angular rear light clusters are unique to the CC. In addition, the newcomer is built on an extended version of the standard car's platform, and will do battle with Peugeot's forthcoming 307 CC as it uses a Mercedes SLK-style folding roof. Renault hopes its new model will rival the 206 CC too, as there are plans to launch a budget 1.4-litre version, expected to cost as little as £15,000. More powerful Mégane models are also on the way. They will get the hatchback's 136bhp 2.0-litre engine and are to be priced at about £20,000. A 1.6 petrol and a diesel variant are expected by the end of 2003

Surely it will be up against the 307, not the 206. They'd have to do a Clio CC to compete with the 206...
I don't see how a £15k 1.4l can compete with a £15k 1.6l, or a £20k 2.0l compares with the £16k 2.0l either...

At least it looks quite sporty unlike the girly cc, have to see it in the flesh to make an informed decision.

Mate you've opened a can of worms there ! why do you think the cc girly ?. How come the 206GTI was never referred to as girly !. Now I've got the same engine in my car but because its a cc its deemed girly !
