All,
What is it that Peugeot need to register your car on the UK database to be used for all future warranty work?
My car is an import and I had my 6000 service done for free last week. However the warranty gut said that he needed a copy of the invoice from the actual dealer (in France) stating the date the car was built so that he could register it on the Database. However a number of you have had yours registered by producing the V5 log book. Could you help me tell if the particular peugeot garage are pulling the wool over my eyes?
ta
Marco
What exactly is needed to be put on database?

Did you buy the car from the import company, or were they acting as your agent?
For example, Virgin cars act as an agent. I am actually buying the car from the dealer in Spain (even though I don't know who it is
) so I will be legally entitled to the invoice.
If, however, the import company bought the car from the dealer and then resold it to you, you probably won't have any legal entitlement to the original invoice although you could ask them nicely.
