After changing to this new forum it has, as a few already have said, been difficult to navigate and to find the new messages. Sometimes they dont show up in the search facility "posted since last wisit". Sometimes I can see there have been postings but they dont show up on the subject sites. Sometimes there is a site number two, but this dont show on the subject sites and you dont get the chance to click to the next sites..

In the beginning i thought it was a selden problem, but as I have used this forum regulary I find that the problem is appearing realy often.

All this makes it frustrating to use the forum, it takes a lot of time to find all the postings and it is not userfriendly.

I know you asked for time to set up this forum Lyndon, but I dont realy know if you are working with these problems or not... I hope you are!!

Oki.. this is not a go for Lyndon and his work which is fantastic, but more me crying out my frustrations....

I am so impressed with the new forum, I haven't had any problems posting or reading messages. The marking of the messages when read is much better. Still love is and my pap pap is one year old in 10 days and I will be out of the country. Keep up the excellent work Lyndon, I enjoy the social aspect of the site and miss is when away

No probs at all, think once a couple of private messages didn't get there but that was at the start and be were all warned to be gentle in advance!

Wicked site, have no life anymore, am going to get sacked any day now from work as internet usage has gone from 10 mins a day to about 3 hours!

You do a great job Lyndon and everyone else on here

Jo! :P

I don't get any problems with viewing messages since last visit :? What's your setup, have you tried deleting your cookies?

The only problem I have is the slow download times due to all the huge signatures ;)
yepp, Im sure the problem is not my cookies.

Dont be sorry because you like this board better then the last one... I too do that, but it takes too much time to navigate when it doesnt work as it should....
Thats my problem and it has nothing to do with Lyndons work, as I said earlier in another post he is fantastic and have done and does a great job.
Also it has nothing to do with you members out there... you are fab and I have got a lot of tips, help and laughs when i have red your postings..

Bergen,

I'm having the same problem as you with viewing new messages, I find I have to use the browser's refresh button before the new messages are displayed. I'm using IE6 on Windows so it's hardly a non-standard set up.

If you're reading this Lyndon, is there a PHP setup parameter you can set to force the browser to refresh when the page loads?

Cheers,
Justin.

Using the refresh button solves some of the problems, but far from all... just take a look at other treads...
