Put the wheel on first before considering lowering. On 205/40-17 the diameter is the same as your current wheel without affecting the speedometer. I reckon you could get 20mm easily, but the guy lowering the car will be about to advise ya

Will I really notice the difference between 16's and 17's if the tyres are still 205 ???
I spose it'll notice cos its going to be lowered but 700 quid ish is alot of cash to spend on something that might not stand out..
But who am i to say... I just drive the damn thing...

I've jsut got the OZ volcanoes fitted and they look lush...
205 40 17's (17 inch wheel)
Fits no problem on the 206 CC....
If I was you and you were going for something that stands out and looks good - go for the volcanoes - and 17'ers....
And if anyonre says they wont fit - they lie !
south coast wheels fitted mine - superb service.

slightly more bump... not really noticeable though.. will be when it gets lowered :¬)
The overall wheelsize is the same also
bigger wheel - lower profile.
One thing to watch (which i learnt at my own expense) is kerbing em !! - no rubber sticking out the sides !!! just alloy
