I think the dealer must have just given you a discount as according to the accessories list, fitting time is zero. So fitting is not included anyway

that price was wrong and was later reduced to £200. the price was mixed up with something else, possibly the luggage rack if i remember right.

Yeah - I popped into my local dealer today to check if there was an updated price list (I had the March 2001 one). He had one from November and they are now £200 inc VAT.

Picked my windstop up yesterday, they had six on order, shows how popular CCs are round here! Fitted it this morning, and spent the next few hours driving around feeling the benefit and shouting at other convertible owners to get their tops down   Great purchase, makes a huge difference. Must go and sit in a darkened room, still on a bit of a convertible induced high

i came out of work at 5.15pm when it was freezing and saw an old couple drive by in what might have been an MX5 with the roof down. they were wrapped up like mummy's (they egyptian things) - don't know what temperature it was as these luxury Rover 45's don't have temperature sensors, or much else when you come to think of it

derek

It's just occurred to me. I see CCs almost every day now but I've yet to see one with its roof down.

I know it's winter but I can't be the only one that gets the roof down, can I?

Vince,

I go topless everytime it's sunny although lowest temperature I have ventured out this way in is 7c!

Don't worry vince - for me as long as its not raining the roof is down - even the other night coming home from work at 6pm and it was about 2 degrees!.

The only problem I find is that the gear knob gets too cold!

I was going to make an obvious knob comment but I better not.

Sat in mine the other night, with the roof down looking at stars. Bloody cold though.

I was topless 4 days on the trot last week, Thurs-Sun and could've done Monday as well but I was too chicken (I was in a dodgy area).

That must've been our summer
