Wait till U have to phone their customer services!!

I have 600K NTL - have had to route cable all the way thru the house to upstairs computer - and it is great, you can sit with this forum open without having to worry about the phone bills. Just make sure you get all your webspace and emails - I was not informed until 11 months later!

NTL isnt the best from what I've read for gaming.....

Ping rates are lower with ADSL than Cable.....

I have to agree!

Pure ADSL does seem to be better than cable broadband. Im with Pipex ADSL and its fantstic! Plus you dont have to have it plugged into the back of your cable box! And I only pay £20 a month!

Suppose I better mension the CC in here somewhere to keep on subject! Well mine should be comming next week!! we he! :P

NTL has always been 600K hey just told everyone it's 512K.
It's not a bad service but they do tend to send lots of updates to the modems firmware and a cpl of times I''ve had to wait a few hours to get it finsihed. The best bit is NTL is very hackable and i know several people with a downstream of 2mb and an upstream of 10mb :)
not that i endorse hacking of course

I've Just Joined www.Free-Online.net the Activation Fee is £70.50 and then you can have Just Activation and either a monthly contract or a yearly contract for the same price, Just Broadband with no webspace is £20.99 Per Month with this you will have to supply your own modem but they can also supply a Modem.
