"Smart" Headunit

heres something for u'z, if someone could explain how this works....listening to music on my new cd player, i decide to leave it on, turn off the car and ignition and lock the doors, after about 1min30sec, the headunit turns off completley.....later i push the unlock button on my key for the doors, and the headunit turns back on, on its own, on the exact spot in the song it was playing b4 it turned off! is this something to do with the car? or have i got wires mixed up?
