Hi,
Got 3 questions:

1:Has anyone got the correct manual for the new spec' cars?

2:When I turn off the cars ingnition but leave the wipers switched on I have to turn them off and on again the next time I use the car or they don't work,is this normal?

3:Just had a CD multichanger fitted to standard head unit (no instructions see 1 above!!)is there anyway to play cd's in random order?

Thanks for any help.
Mick.

i have a new manual.

i also had to turn wipers off and back on again. auto lights stay active, auto wipers don't appear to.

not sure about the auto changer. i'm thinking of getting one fitted on my new CC but haven't had one fitted yet. i might be wrong but i have a slight feeling that someone said random play wasn't possible.

derek

Same as Derek.

If pages of the manual are required I could probably get them scanned and e-mail to you?

I think the switching off the wipers and back on is a "design feature" as I have to do it with my Roland Garros too !!

I haven't got a CD changer, but for the standard single CD fitted unit, to get random cd play, hold down the cd mode button.

You could try holding down the CD changer button to see if it does the same thing.

Yes I have a CD changer and you just have to hold down the CD mode button to get random play, but random play is cancelled after the unit is turned off, which is quite annoying....Also the wind block cannot be stored properly in the trunk since the changer takes up some space.

isn't it possible to put the cd changer in the glove box like you can do with other cars ?

i was hoping you would as i'm going to order one for my replacement CC and was going to put it in there.

you cant get them in the glovebox at all.

I just leave the windbreak on all the time - lets face it do you ever use the back seats for anything more than a few bits of shopping.

Derek,

I reckon you'll be pushed to put it under the seat. I put mine in the boot, safe and secure, but I agree it is a bit off a p1ss off when you want to change the carousel.

Out of interest my missus had a 206GLX demo for a while with satnav, and the dvd rom thingy WAS mounted in the glove box? Perhaps room for a weenie one?

There is a bracket in the glove box to hold the DVD player or similar item for the navigation system, so I think it's possible to fit a CD changer there, just need more work to take out the bracket first.

Maybe you have to rip a hole into the back of the glove box to get it in

Hi,
Thanks for the replies.I tried holding the multi cd button and this does bring rdm on the display only trouble is it just plays one of the discs in a random order not a track from a random disc as my apline system did in my old car.And yes it does cancel after I turn off the ignition...WHY...if I no longer wanted it I would turn it of myself.
Oh well I guess thats progress!!!
