Ta for the smiley messages, stand back, as I'm fully armed with smilies now

I didn't like the last comments of NS (before being edited). He should have apologized at least to all of us that shared his problems with the car and support his efforts to change peugeot's current status of after sales market. Just feel ashame of him.
I LOVE to be OUTSIDER!

If you think about it you can see what he's done.

He's angry that his car isn't working and he desperately wanted to do something about it, wanting everyone to know that he's mad and that he wouldn't stand for it.
The only thing he could think to do was to take it back...

For a while this would have made him feel better. However, he would have then started having regrets.
How do you get rid of these regrets?
By talking about another cars good things and the old cars bad things. He's simply talking himself into being happy with the choice he made.

I wonder how he will feel about this choice when the sun is out and he's out and about...

Well good luck to NS!

He's had his problems as have other members and finally opted into buying the Golf GTI. The GTI's a nice car, well built, fairly quick off the mark (though I heard someone say it's due for a major facelift shortly which might adversely affect the residual values of current models).

Taking into account the CC's folding steel roof, leather, performance, and super styling, even with my own car's problems (leaks, stripped doors, etc), I have kept a sense of humour, and the cc wins hands down for me.

Robbie.

Each to their own. No point getting into a fight over it, it got nasty for a bit there!

Looks like Rob is nearing the end of his teather! And is suffering the same surprises that Peugeot sprung on me!

I just keep smiling at all the problems, what else can I do. If I dont then they have won. If I smile they think I am planning something so they sort things quickly to get rid of me.

rob is right, it works very well. to begin with i showed i was angry because i was. but when you change the way you act - keep calm, smile, be friendly - they get very confused

Also ask what their managers name is and then ask who the person above the manager is...
Then they wonder what your up to

I chose the calm option, I simply wrote the Area Manager a nice letter, copied in the CEO of his dealership, and quoted a few legal sentences. I kept very calm until the very end when I could take no more of their incompetence, they tried to call my bluff and lost! But you are right, keep as calm as possible and then get them when they are not looking. I was quite prepared to sit in the manager office and not move until I got what I wanted and was almost at the point of strolling round the showroom and having a quite chat with their potential customers!

Derek's right. I got fed up with dealing with the grease monkeys who were utterly clueless. Once I contacted the dealer principal I was dealt with very professionally be the after sales director and I got what I wanted!
