Don't hold your breath for Aegean with leather. Spoke with my dealer last week when I picked up my silver/black leather 2.0 and he mentioned that there's no sign of Aegean with leather on the vehicles available on current import.
I originally ordered Aegean and gave up. Was offered black with black or black/red leather or silver/black leather and went for the silver. Glad I made the choice I did. I've reflected a lot and realised dark colours aren't my preference. Yes they look great, but having just traded in my Diablo 306 Cab I realised how susceptable dark colours are to stone chips and generally show up the dirt.
As for your concerns - put them aside. It's a great car. Affirmative in handling (assisted by the Goodyear Eagle F1's - note: it seems the 1.6's in Aus are getting fitted with Continental's), no sign of any scuttle shake (incredibly superior to my 306). It's rained heavily since I picked it up a week ago and no sign of leaks.
I saw a 1.6 that had conversion from cloth to leather locally - looked good, but didn't have the lovely stitched leather trim on the doors or on the glove compartment.
My absolutely only criticism is the sound system. Nothing really wrong with it, but lacks punch (especially with the roof down). Not a big deal, most factory stereo's suck!
Any problems with info from your dealer, drop me a line. I have established a great relationship with Peugeot Australia and will be happy to help if the communication breaks down between them and the dealer network. You can reach me at sjfrost@optushome.com.au
Have the faith and place the order. I haven't stopped smiling since I picked mine up.
Cheers
Frosty
Does anyone have the OZ order info update?

as someone who (technically) owns a silver CC with red/black leather, i can confirm it looks like red/black.

Give Mark Drake a call at Straightway. I don't think the car is here yet. It was in the consignment that mine was originally to be in (got lucky and got it early). My understanding is that the shipment is to be here mid to late March. Unfortunately you won't be able to see it. I'm off to the Motor Show tomorrow and understand that there's a 1.6 in silver and a 2.0 in red, both with cloth. Having said you've been to the show you will have seen them. If you like the cloth interior - then you know what it looks like. As far as I know there's an Aegean Blue out there for the taking if you're happy to take it without seeing it - what's to lose, if you don't like it when you see it you can always pass, or even have leather fitted by the dealer.
Good luck
Good luck

Frosty, it's great to have someone like you in Oz with your PCA contacts. I don't think there's enough owners in Oz to influence Peugeot, so we appreciate anyone that can help.
I picked up my CC last weekend. It's a platinum grey 2.0 litre with *free* black leather. It's build date is 12/01.
Chase/Alex - I found it pays to check with a couple of dealers, even if they quote the same price. For example, the (only) Brisbane dealer quoted 4-6 months (but was I sure I didn't want to take one of the GTI's they had in the yard ?? - see ya later). I called the (only) Gold Coast dealer: "we should have some within 4-6 weeks if you're flexible on the colour". I placed my order on 11th Jan 02 and drove it out of the dealers on 23rd Feb...
Apparently mine was only the 3rd car they had delivered. I haven't seen another one in Brisbane yet, and I do drive around a lot for work.
I originally went for the cloth trim and either moonstone or platinum grey, but the model that turned up platinum grey with black leather. So, I ended up with free leather. I got floor mats, headlight and bonnet protectors thown in when I signed the contract (big deal). I also paid the $900 odd for an additional 2 years warranty. They weren't giving that away as part of the deal...
Anyway, I'm really happy with the car. I came from a WRX and was expecting to be disappointed with the performance. Undertandably, it's nowhere near as fast, but it's actually much easier to peddle around town than the WRX.
*Everyone* wants to know what sort of car it is, just be prepared to do about 100 roof demos in the first week and take *all* your friends for a test drive. Having the roof down and all that leather exposed gets lots of looks.
As for the problems, we've had a couple of heavy showers here in Brisbane in the past week, and no signs of leaks yet. The roof also works perfectly.
Anyway, good luck on the delveries for all those that are waiting.
Cheers, 1980s_boy.

I've been busily driving so haven't posted for a while.
1980's_boy sounds like he's had the best deal yet.
Unfortunately
we haven't had any rain here in Adelaide since I picked my CC up so I haven't been able to proof test it for leaks. Mind you, I washed it last night and there was no sign of leaks.
I am very happy with the way the thing performs - yesterday cruising out in the country side I finally got it to 5th gear. It's a little frightening how quickly it gets to 150 km/hr.
Rob was right too - the gears are starting to loosen up a bit. And Frosty, it's not because I've been crunching them!
Oh well, I'm off to endure another week 25 - 30 C temperatures.
Kirk.

Hi, I ordered a black 206cc with leather last year with a dealer outside of sydney thinking i might get it sooner.
He rang and got me to change it to a Diablo Red and that I would be getting it in early March. I rang him and Mon 5/3 and he could not tell me when it was coming. Feeling distress I call a local sydney dealer who had a cherry red with leather ready to go, as the guy who had ordered it had gone back to japan.
Now I jump at the opportunity and signed a contract and picked it up the next day.
I rang my original dealer and left a message that he could keep my deposit and that I was picking up a car tomorrow.
He rang back and said that he had just received a cherry red with black leather that was mine. The dealer had never sent me the contract so I told him I would not pay the 5%. I feel that I may have done the wrong thing but could not wait.
Only problem with the car was 2cm surface cut on the driver’s seat. So please check the leather while you are at the dealer and the top will not operate unless the boot is closed (it look like it was).
The leather seat are not black but a dark grey(which are fine).

I ordered the car in December and was told that could be getting it in May/June, checked with them last 2 weeks and I was in the 15th in the query.
Came across another dealer close to my place yesterday, they told me that they have 4 or 5 CCs ready to go within next week and another batch by the end of this month!!! Wonder what happened to the waiting list!!! I ended up ordering the car from the new dealer and will be getting my car next week in moonstone with black leather!
