Just got off the phone to Halfords. They have confirmed with Kenwood that the following adapter works with the RD3 remote (as fitted on the mux 206).

Kenwood also say that they will be bringing out an adapter to interface with the head-up display. This is currently being designed and should be out in about a month or so.

I will probably order the stalk adapter when I'm back in the UK at the end of the week.

Part number is CAW-PG726

Yeah. Must have been tired when I wrote that. I'll keep hassling Halfords/Kenwood for more info on the adapter. Still no firm price (although Kenwood reckon around £65) or release date.

Right, just had this back from 'Just Kenwood':
I'm afraid you have been mis-informed by Halfords - the CAW-PG726 cable will not work with the newer, multiplexed Peugeot audio system.

A lead that will be multiplex compatible (for remote control linking only), is currently under development. One manufacturer is quoting '6 - 8 weeks', the other 'early next year'. Take your pick!

As for linking displays - an adaptor is being worked on, but it is still in early stages. Having said this, the adaptor is unlikely to show radio information on the vehicle's display; the best that the developers can promise is that it will display some sore of fixed or programmable greeting message.

Hope this is of use, please get back in touch if you need more, or anything is unclear.

OK I'm through with it :!: I believe, the best thing for us to do is, to remove the useless factory stalk control and set the much better Kenwood KCA-RC700. No more lectures on this issue. Kenwood now has just started to develop new kind of adaptors for multiplexed vehicles and this will take pretty much time since will be completed.

Got an e-mail from JK* to say there's no update yet.

*No, not Rowling. Or Jamiroquai for that matter.

You know better than me about JK Alex. But I was talking about the progress of Kenwood's adaptor development and when will be available on the market.

That's a different matter altogether :P

There's at least two companies developing them, apparently.
