Hi Everyone...

Hope you have been enjoying the good weather!

Just a quick question about the engine...
Does anyone else experience a growl at 2100 revs?! It either sounds like it's a 'carb' sound or an engine sound?...its not terribly loud but it is definately there... almost like the car has a slightly 'sore throat'?!

Also the drivers side rear quarter-pane sometimes jams half way when being put back up. It often needs help to be pulled past a point of resistance that the electric servo won't manage on its own?

Two more things to add to the service list?
Anyone else had these problems... do they need attention?

... now go get the top down!!

Sounds like the Grey plastic Cam Cover resonating.. Common problem with the EW10J4 engine..

Either stuff some cloth under it or take it off...

Agree with Simon. My service manager knew what it was straight away and then they somehow padded the cover so that it stopped moaning (around 2,700 revs) - took a couple of visits to get rid of it for good.
