Seat Adjustment

I have a Peugeot 206cc 1.6 Auto, Aegean blue with black leather seats and love it. The problem is I like an upright position in both driver and passenger seats and yet they are extremely difficult to set. I think the passenger seat is broken as the seatback doesn't click into place any further forward than about 35 degrees. The driver's seat is almost as difficult to set into place but will "click in". I'm getting it checked out today. Interested to hear if anyone else has had or fixed this problem and whether its just restricted to the optional leather seats with side airbags.

I am having similar problems with mine....leather seats also with airbags.
If you see the discussion topic "accesssing the rear seats" in the main forum then you will see you are not the only one.
I think we have agreed that they just have a mind of their own.....

They're probably not broken. It took me a hell of a while to sort out how to adjust the backs of the seats. Can't remember how I did it in the end but it was a combination of leaning back in the seats, moving the lever on the side and leaning forward and releasing the lever (not necessarily in that order).
The recent 'What Car?' was critical of the seats. Seems like they couldn't get the hang of it either.
Vince.

Thanks for your replies guys. My partner dropped the car off at Perrys, Drayton - he tried the passenger seat in a demo car (same spec as mine) and it worked perfectly. We've figured that the driver's seat isn't broken. Perrys can't look at it until tomorrow (and even then don't know if they will have the spares), so spent the weekend rocking in the passenger seat with my partner driving (nightmare!). At least the weather was nice so had the hood down. Looking forward to getting it fixed - I'll let you know how I get on. Glad to know ours is not the only one with teething probs!

Frasier,
I'd watch out for Perry's in Farlington.
I've had nothing but bad service from them in the past (still waiting for a phone call back from them - 3 weeks now - and I've chased them twice)
Maybe when you go there you might wanna mention this site to them....
Might make them think twice about the service that they gave me (and possibly others)

Blimey! I see from here that the seats aren't just confined to one specific problem. My passenger seat only stays in the one position although its a bit limp and doesn't click in - surely a Health & Safety issue don't you think? Perrys have been given the opportunity to sort it out - watch this space.
M - I've replied to you by email.

Perrys have fixed the problem, a new seat frame was required. They might have cleaned the inside though, and dusted the dashboard (like they should have done when we originally collected the car!). Still its fixed and now complete. Won't be using Perry's again - they are so untogether. Taking it to Alton instead for servicing.

You wont have any problems with Alton, mention that I sent you if needs be - Jamie is the guy that knows me there - great guy - very helpfull.
And again - I hope Perry's and other dealers read this and take notice ....
