Gonna have a go with that tonight...

But Half Life 2 is out in 26 days, 3 hours, 41 minutes and 15.4 seconds.

Not that I'm sad or anything.

Speaking of gaming, are there any counter strikers among us?

I downloaded the demo a couple of nights ago, havent had the chance to install it yet... I heard it was good but since you are so excited about it (and since I enjoyed MOH a lot) I'll have a go at it tonight.

I used to play CS but now finding a server with no cheaters is nearly impossible... and don't enjoy playing with wallhackers.... :(

Just played that Call of Duty level and I do like it. Still not up to what halflife 2 should be capable of, but I would be tempted to buy it.

And yes I will defeintely be buying Half Life 2. I bought HL1 and never regretted it, and will be doing the same with HL2.

By the way, anyone seen the amazing HL2 vids? The physics engine is just astonishing, how every item in the game follows the laws of physics properly.

the HL2 vids are amazing...... unfortunately all that eyecandy won't be available to all..... the vids are of the game running on Diretc X 9 supporting graphics cards (i.e. GF 5800 upwards and radeon 9700 upwards. ok ok there are cheaper cards that support DX9 but for what I consider good framerate I would't even consider to buy the other cards).
So I will have to stick to my GF 4 Ti 4600 for the moment, also because the price for a top of the range radeon or GF are prohibitive (£300 upwards).

I would have to reinstall HL and CS too and patch.....

yeah i know what you mean HL2 will ROCK but as it stands call of duty is the next few steps up from MOHAA, now if they did a WW2 game using the HL2 engine now that would be something :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Just finished the demo...... really nice and INTENSE action I have to say, I love the "stance" capability (which of course thay have lifted from Operation Flashpoint, which is not a bad thing at all).
I played it on the most difficult setting but 1, and found it a bit short for a demo... but rather good! I liked it when you see the anti-aircraft guns shooting and you can see their crews busy as bees! I then shot 1 in the head and the rest started panicking, looking into my direction and returning fire! (After that I decided to dispatch the second crew with a couple of grenades lol)
