About a week ago my ccs right indicator stopped working. I noticed it because when i indicated right i got no 'click click' sound and my green arrow was not flashing on the instrument display and when i got out of the car i noticed the indicator on the outside wasnt flashing either. I took it to Peugeot who told me the Com2000 had broke and fixed it in about half an hour, but what exactly IS the Com2000? Is it something silly and simple or was i about to be blown up if i hadnt noticed there was no 'click click'... anyone know?

its that large switching block (black ring surround the base of the steering wheel) you will see it when you remove the cover, which contain all the electronic cables stalks, radio remote and the little speaker. usually they replace the whole block when something goes wrong in those area.

The heart of the multiplexing is mostly referred to as the BSI or Body systems integration unit (sometimes referred to as the Built in systems integration unit) which are mostly supplied by Siemens, it is the plastic box with a few fuses and wires connected to it behind the panel under your steering wheel. My tripmeter button stopped working, they fixed that by replacing the com2000 too. Must be some sort of central electrics system, the heart of the multiplexing perhaps
I would never had guessed that this Com2000 was associated with the steering wheel, It would be nice if tghe Pug dealer had clarified themselves when you picked the car up instead of using jargon?

Ah, this would explain why my door open/warning tones have changed from nice beeps and 747-esque dings, to a nasty sounding beep noise.
I had to have the indicators fixed by Pug as turning right didn't always work, and needed a bit of an extra 'push' on the stalk..
I was hoping the sound changes were because they'd flashed the BSI, and that they might go back to normal after the next BSI flash.
