Not a fan of EBCs myself. Get a set of Mintexes or Pagids. http://www.mintex.co.uk/index.html
A CC is probably heavy enough to make the 1155s viable. Or go for the Pagid RS421s (RS42s are just as good, but squeal a lot). Actually the Mintexes squeal a lot too, if that's an issue for you. But they're cheaper than the Pagids.

when I had my 306 I was quoted about £160 for new pads all round. With a bit of digging around I bought some Mintex pads (better than Pug would provide) for £40 and got them fitted by a local mobile garage for another £50.

popped into kwik fit they said roughly £125ish all in for front and back pads but they would have to do a brake test/check first, forgot to ask if they charged anything for this :?

Kwik-fit pads will be off the shelf crap. Do yourself a favour and get some decent pads (Mintex, Pagid, Ferodo, etc.) and either get the monkeys to fit them or get a local indie to do it. You'll get much better brakes, and it'll be much cheaper.

I think Halfords sell Ferodos, maybe Mintex as well? You can look up a list of Mintex dealers on their website.

Why don't you buy them from Eurocar parts.. Fronts are £22.. Rears are £18..

Better than Mintex, EBC etc etc

Good idea, but...
Better than Mintex, EBC etc etc
...you don't see many racing cars using "Eurocar parts" pads

I have had Mintex 1155, EBC Greenstuff and Peugeot Pads on my own CC..

1: Mintex were Good but not that good..
2: EBC Greenstuff are Sh*te
3: Peugeot Pads similar to Mintex
4: Swapped for Cheap "Textar" pads from Eurocarparts .. and they were better.. The only slightly down side is the increased brake dust I found on me alloys..

Remember that there are only a few manufacturers of brake pads in the world.. EBC don't manufacture their own.. Peugeot Don't manufacture their own.. etc etc etc. All They do is spec them and buy them in..

But you pay your money and take your choice.. Paying a premium price doesn't guarantee you are getting the better product..

The only trouble I found with using cheap pads is the compound uniformity can vary in the pad leaving scored discs. This of course can be a false economy, as you then ideally need new discs sooner than normal. That said the pads that done this to my 205 were not from Euro parts or Halfords. Sounds like the pads from Europarts are quite soft if they are causing excessive dust. If you have no scratches on your discs then I guess they are the pads to go for.

I will need to change my pads soon so if anyone has further experience/advice I would be greatfull. I personally want good initial bite and no squeaking.
