Been to a garage today and asked for a price on my little 206cc. It's a 2 litre with cloth seats. The salesman came out with some crap about it being worth 10k as it dosent have a leather interior. Its on a 02 plate with 28k on the clock. I think he is talking...... does anyone have any idea of what it's really worth?
Awaiting.....

Hiya!
I've got a 2 litre '01 with cloth interior and 17k on the clock. Was recently offered 9.5k for it by a Peugeot dealer who told me that there were too many of them around.
I have seen an '02 1.6 in silver with cloth seats and 24k on it at a dealership near here for £11,995.
I was disappointed with the amount offered for mine as well :-(

i was offered berween £10.5k and £11.5k last month against a 307CC.
mines is an 02 and had about 38k miles at the time but has leather and numerous extras. taking into account that i was able to get a £1500 discount off the 307CC without a trade-in then i was effectively being offered £9k which is frightening.
even the dealers recommend selling it private. i didn't go ahead as at the time my roof didn't work which made selling it private difficult. now with an 8 week wait it isn't worth ordering a 307CC the now so i will get one on 1st march 2005.
last october i was offered £12.5k maybe stretching to £13k against the 307CC for a march 2004 trade-in so it has dropped a bit in a few months and that's ith summer here.

it also depends on the the type of car you are buying, it bet you'd get a stonking deal against a fiat or citroen but crap all against a BMW
but 9.5k sounds a little low for that year and spec
The madza dealing basically said the same thing to me about my car only having cloth and no alloys
