Can anyone tell me what is the normal water and oil temperatures for a 2 litre?

Mine sits around 90, with the cooling fan kicking in when the water is about 95.
The fan has been on a lot recently in the hot weather.

Another question.

How are we meant to check the coolant level? My car has a white plastic, non-see through, expansion tank with Max and Min on the outside. But you can't see the water level.

The coolant reservoir is thick but you can just about see through it.

Try shining a torch into the reservoir and you should see the coolant level.
