Does anyones cc become lumpy after about 20 seconds from cold start, vibrate for about a minute , then settle down , during this time vibration can be felt in the gearstick and just sitting in the car , the car only started doing it recently ,but I have had catalytic converter probs in the past - unresolved as fault dissapperared before I took it into pug. I'm hoping someone will tell me they have the same and it's due to the humid weather, this didnt used to happen in the winter / spring .
No , it just happens when the engine is idling after a 'cold' start. Hadfield rd pug aren't much better , cat fault required software download 26 ???????????? but still displayed fault after every wash of the car ?????????
I've had the cat problem and the anti pollution fault. Mine got sorted by the dealer, but I'm sure a few things got changed.
30A fuse was replaced, extension coils (or coil extensions) replaced, not sure what these are. Eveything was fine after that, but to be of the safe side, I got a BSI update too.
Although saying that I've never had these problems after the car was washed.
I do find that you have to type or write all your problems out and an explanation of what/when it is happening, before you get a proper fix. If you tell the girl at the front desk what is wrong then it, then it normally gets shortened and the whoever looks at it doesn't get the full story.
My car was on warranty service (i gave a list to checkup).
Sometimes from cold start vibrating running!
They think that hydraulic valve lifters (don't know the right word in english, so tell the right word if you know what i'm meaning) must change. So they ordered new ones and will change them in next friday. I haven't heard anyone else from this valve-problem, my car was a 2liter version.
Lumpy from cold.... bought my first 206cc on the 29th Sept 2005 (52 plate 2L SE) and reported it to Motorpoint on the 1st Oct saying that there was something wrong - ie very lumpy from start. Anyway 2 weeks later, and after a visit to my local peugeot dealer, they diagnosed what is seemingly a recognised problem with the hydrolic tappets (£669.02 in total to repair) but luckily the insurance I had covered it (it's a dreaded import) but under a normal peugeot warranty would have been covered. So getting it back today and have got fingers crossed - anyone with this problem get to your dealer before your warranty is up just in case!!!
