Hoop Removal

Nothing rude - just wanted to know how you go about removing the rear hoops as i'm still interested in a set of chrome hoops. Has anyone got pictures of them fitted (preferably on a silver CC) with the roof up and down????

ps its hammering down at the mo and theirs still 20 mins to go till kick-off...Haven't missed a game yet - took the whole month off work...my moneys on Spain for the Wcup....you read it here first.

U need to release bolts by footwell on back seats. Once done - fiddle around with rear seats and they simply unclip. From then on it's self explanatory really!

Hoops are totally worth it. Hang on - Ill peg it out and nab a shot of my silver cc and mail you

See what you mean about the brushed hoops - how well do they go with a silver car!!
You've made my mind up to go for the colour coded bumpers/trim as well. Do you mind me asking how much you paid/where you got them done???
Smart job....what's next - light conversion?

Seejay...by the way - what does the badge on the back of your car say? "Kloster" or something??? I can't quite make it out but i'm confused? What does it mean???

lights & SP grille are already done - check owner #268.

had arch extensions and bumpers done for Â£180.00 all in (cash and under table job

the hoops cost 230 EUROs from that chappy in France and as said, brushed is far sexier then chrome as that can reflect light in a way that could be construed as being intrusive (to the poor sod sat behind).

As for colour coding - MUST MUST MUST DO!

Have fun crossing the T's and dotting the I's on the CC - it is so worth it

Yeah, I also had the mota debadged! Also worth it in my opinion!

Was born in Switzerland and used to (still do if I have the pennies) ski in Klosters (before the Royal family got there

) hence the badge, if you get the chance you ought to pop over the border and hit the planks in Klosters (longest non-stop run in Europe, just short of 40k's and many many mountain bars on route - ie slaugtered by the time you get to the bottom

)

So where/how did you get the new badge made up? I like the idea - very "personalised"...Also just looked at your pics on #268...v.v.v.nice!!! Have you had the rear lights done? What about bonnet vents? I thought M275's CC was the best i'd seen yet, however it's blue and i think yours has taken over No 1 spot!! (Sorry M!!)
I was hanging back on mods as being in Germany i'm entitled to a tax-free motor every year so i was probably going to swap it next March. However now i'm coming back to uk in Aug i'm going to keep it and spend some (a lot) of my pay-rise on upgrades...

Thanks Greg... ...I'm blushin now! Also, M275 only lives a few miles down the road but have yet to bump into him!

Decided against vents and the body shop told me he had done somebefore and the heat causes crackin to paint and is therefore (in his opinion), not worth doing. Can see the logic myself. As for the rear lights... ...think they make the car look like a 'jap crap' mota and have decided against them (sorry to all that have them).

Am very keen to keep the car looking like it's ex factory and not pubed-up! That also means no alloys and anyhoo, the standard 2ltr ones are just fine me finks. From comments I've had I think I've achieved that so no more to be added.

P.s. I agree about keeping the car kinda factory looking and not too pubbed up - I've been approached by people asking if I wil lbe getting a full kit fitted and I say no f**king way - 1. i'd look a tw** and 2. when I goto sell the car I'd have a smaller rage of buyers (17-21 year olds lol)
