I agree with you taking them to court.
You have been messed about and they have not solved your problems.
Rob why on earth have you had to pay for a new car. If it's been wrong from the start then it's up to them to fix it to the required standard or replace it. Fact
I know we don't like to get nasty with dealers but you've payed lots of money for this car. It's not acceptable for it to be sold in anything but perfect condition and fully working order.

That's how I feel. I think when you've bought a new car it should be in A1 condition. If it's not, it's up to the dealer to fix it. If they can't they should replace it. If everyone was prepared to put up with shoddy goods that'd be all we'd get. I'm getting to the point of getting heavy about my car. Sometimes I think I'm making a fuss over nothing but most people I talk to think I should be making a fuss. I think its just the nature of the British to suffer in silence and never complain.

i agree to a point. i am going to put a written complaint to my dealer & peugeot. amongst many other things, they will be told that if they fail to fix the problems then i will look to reject the car as it will not be fit for its purpose. if they can't replace the car then there will be plenty of more cars that i can spend £17.5k on.

Chris, I agree with your comment f not having to pay for a new car BUT...
If you try to reject a car and it has more than just a couple of hundred miles on, the normal course of proceedings (all manufacturers and supported by consumer groups) is for the manufacturer to charge a small 'hire fee'. This would have been more than what I am paying to swap my car.
Those who know me will agree that I dont take any messing from Peugeot and they would also agree after my last few visits to their HQ.
So if you are all having problems then do what I did. Visit them in Coventry. All go on the same day. Perhaps be prepared with the phone number of local radio and TV.
It gets results - believe me
Peugeot seem to want to be 'my best freind' these days.

NO for trusting Peugeot and if I didn't live in scotland, I would be at the head of the queue to visit Peugeot HQ

i agree too brian, although my letter of complaint to peugeot and my dealer better make some difference because i won't be giving up.
the fact that peugeot doesn't even spend any money on advertising for the CC says it all about the demand and the fact they know it will sell anyway.

Glad I'm not the only one pursuing this. I'd rather try my luck with the dealership and Peugeot first. If they think they can palm me off, then I guess legal action is the last resort.
I'm aware it'll probably be tricky to reject the car now, I guess I'm looking for the same sort of outcome as Rob - an exchange for a non-faulty cc for minimal extra cost.
Looking forward to reading this epic letter of yours Derek!
