Yeh i realise this but really didn't think for a minute it was going to work and no way i could chance opening it fully as it was raining quite heavy. Only started to open the boot so will see tomorrow if it still tries to work or not.

Just a quick update....
Tried the roof today and low and behold its working perfectly! tried it several times and everything is working as it should and no bleeps whilst driving
Roof does seem to bounce a little whilst opening and closing but that may just be a little air in the hydraulics system (a friend did warn me this could happen when having to manually open or close the roof) but nothing i cant live with.
