Both Wishbones were replaced at MOT time. One had a worn ball joint the other had a totally failed front chassis mount. Some would say that being able to move the joint about with your little finger is a bad thing.
Car now runs straight as a die

As long as water isn't falling out of the sky, the roof can be down.
Just replaced one on our hatch for worn balljoint ...
Our CC had one chassis mounting split last time I had to change it. I'm wondering if the GTi arms with metal bushes would be better.
I've heard swapping for poly bushes is good until you come to try and refit the arm. The poly is so hard it is very difficult to lever the arm down to pop it back into the hub!

Just had the tracking done as the steering wheel was off by about 15' after doing the arms. Apparently 206CC's need Original Pug GTI arms as they are different from the 206 arms.
In the 200 miles since swapping the arms and now, I cant say I've noticed any issues with handling other then improvements, and mine were after market from the motor factors.

I think as long as both match they are interchangable .. the GTi ones have stiffer mounting bushes so it would probably show in handling as one arm would flex more .. length-wise they are probably identical.

Glad to hear all sorted.... hopefully others who have had similar probs might find this feed has helped? Wishbones that seem ok are not all they seem! Cheers andy
