Most ECU's work with 5v for the sensors, so that seems right. I take it your car is the 8V & not 16V?
Have you conpared new sensor with your one. I will need to see what other info I have, but please confirm which engine. Thanks

Hi Col, it is an 8V. I haven't compared with other sensors but I tried a 5.5k Ohm resistor and the fault was the same. I think the garage changed the sensor as it appears shiny as if new.
