Re: Newbie issues
Can't find/see a wire coming from the seatbelt stalk on either the drivers or passenger side, wondering if the whole system, including dash bulb, has been disappeared.

Re: Newbie issues
I had (and still have) a similar fault. Last year, I noticed my seat belt warning light ceased functioning. I thought it must be the connection to the belt come adrift - easy fix. Well, it would have been if I could find any cables from the stalk! I could'nt find any on the passenger's side either - but the passenger warning still functions. As the fault does not effect the running of the car, I decided to live with it. I mentioned it to a Peugeot man recently, who said that the stalks send a wireless signal and I will need to buy a new stalk. This could explain the redundant connector under the seats.

Yes, I also find it hard to believe. Hall effect proximity would seem more feasible, but that would need cabling of some sort. So, I'm left with no option but to search for these cables to satisfy my curiosity.

Soldered green plug wires under passenger set, that's both sides done .Still got problem so must be blue plug under wheel. It is swinging loose so someone has been at it before.Opened and closed it a few times so will see what happens.

Re: Newbie issues
Could someone have replaced drivers stalk with passenger side type? (no wire)
Maybe it's time to plug in diagnostics and get the fault codes.

Re: Newbie issues
Think I might have cracked it, thanks to this thread. Looking through old MOT, noticed failure on seat belt. Remembered that seat belt buckle looked different - but not new. I'm guessing that they swapped the stalk for a used 206 one with no cable. Ordered new stalks (L & R) from Peugeot, arriving tomorrow. Thanks all.

Re: Newbie issues
The saga continues. New stalks arrived - no cables. Argued with supplier, who checked against chassis number. Computer had a hidden page revealing a variant with a cable. Why is it always a pain sourcing parts? Well, I'm not letting this go; I am the Customer and always right - even when I'm wrong.

Re: Newbie issues
I bet that cost a fair bit. I just got my seatbelt from breakers.

Can't find any sign of a wire from seat stalks.Don't know whether dashboard bulb has gone or the system has been taken out. Are the wires from the stalk obvious and where should they go?

Re: Newbie issues
Stalks without cable are £29.15 each. With cable, about £10 more I am told. The full retract belt system would probably cost mega amounts, but my experience with aircraft ejector seats would stop me ever contemplating buying second hand safety kit, especially when pyrotechnics are involved.

Re: Newbie issues
Now you have PP2000 can you look at live data and resistance values and see what looks 'wrong'?
