PS, the blue one will be faster as blue light has a shorter wavelenth than red.

i usually work on the basis that there are about 25-35 miles left once the light comes on.

I think I remember reading that it comes on at around a gallon (4.5 litres), or when there's about 30 miles left in the tank.
However, I think the question of how many more litres you can squeeze in depends on which petrol station you go to - I can always get it very full if I go to my local Shell, but at thr local Esso can never get the last gallon or so in (no matter how much wiggling of the nozzle I do or how slowly I fill it up) - so 8 or 9 is a possibility even after the light has been on (at my Esso garage, and in my car, at least).

Well judging by peugeots sense of humour........they lied and its really on 3 litres and you end up stuck in the middle of nowhere with no petrol
