Not wishing to tempt fate, ive only had squeaky brakes (which i cured with copper grease),and the drivers dropglass catching on the top seal, which after a visit to Peugeot and application of silicone grease seems to have done the trick.

Sorry to admit that i have a 406 not a 206, but I get the same problem with the check oil lights coming on at random. It started when turning the engine on after a long run, now it comes on at random after short runs and even whilst driving (along level roads). Dealer says its NOT a known problem, to check the oil (it even happened the day after a service),and if it happens again to drive onto the service pit, and get someone to look at the dash (so they can see what a check engine oil light looks like???). If I want them to look at it again then they will charge me!

Just the usual question. I got my car in early Feb this year, the oil sensor went bananas about two weeks later and has only worked intermittently since. A further intermittent problem has been the petrol gauge not showing full, and the mileage trip counter doing some weird and wonderful things. These last two are fixed for the moment.

The oil sensor problem remains. I have had two software downloads, neither of which made any difference whatsoever, and the gauge itself has been replaced.

Apart from that, I really love the car! Any sign of anyone finding an answer (other than banging the dashboard, but I will try even that!)?
On my third 206cc since 2003.
