Thanks for the optimism Derek. Incidently what grounds did you reject your CC on? Also did they tell you it would be 10 days or did they just say that you were a 'priority order' ?

marco,

the last/official reason for rejecting the CC was due to a water leak which they failed to fix in two attempts. as nice as it is, i didn't buy an aquarium.

i was told that they expect the car within 10 days as it is already built - they had the chassis number.

rachel,

i'm not counting in days so i don't get disappointed. i',m just talking in terms of 2-3 weeks as they have to fit the accessories and "fully test" it for problems.

won't need to buy any goldfish now

At least you'll have it in time for the summer Derek. When are you expecting good enough weather to have the roof down in Scotland?!

Had my roof down for a couple of hours today, I was smiling like an idiot much to the amusement of people looking at me like I was mad!

yes i had the roof down on Melanies yesterday. The harder it rained the faster I drove.

Did have to stop eventually and put the roof up, but it gave others something to smile about.

rachel,

don't mention the weather in scotland - it's strange, very strange !

if i look outside my window then there is snow everywhere, been there since thursday.

i left for work at 5.00am on thursday morning and it was a nightmare, had been snowing since 9pm the previous evening. the 1st 12 miles were very difficult - then there was no snow for the next 11. when i eventually got to work, one of my staff who was waiting looked at the car and asked, where have you come from - the highlands ???

so in answer to your question, i believe we are due a day of sunshine sometime in july

derek

p.s. i never said what year

Derek, speaking of snow. What do you usually use in snow conditions? Snow tyres or chains?

Tzag,

i use the same normal tyres whatever the weather all year round. things like snow tyres or chains aren't really common in the UK.

Tzag,

i have no real interest in different types of tyres. the ones that were fitted to the CC - Goodyear F1's were fine.
