Oh God Derek, please tell me that everything with your new one is OK. I'm getting mine tomorrow (exactly the same as yours) and one minute I feel sick with excitement and the next sick with fear!!!

as i've been a bit (very) ill this week, then i couldn't be bothered typing much but as others are about to pick up a CC then i better say something

i was out last night when it was raining a little and all was fine. then i went out to work this morning ......

it had been raining most of the night i think and i had just driven to the end of the road from my house and as i braked you've guessed it - water started dripping down from the seal just in front of the roof catch on the drivers side.

after the water had all gone after a few miles then everything was ok, but that's normal. the leak is the exact same as the last CC although that took 2 or 3 weeks to start, not one day.

i phoned the general manager of the dealership to "advise" him of what i had encountered. let's say he was far from happy, his words were " we are supposed to be looking after you and my last words were to say that make sure the car is fully tested before you receive it".

i told him i would see how the car performs over the next few days and i also said when i get time i want to have a look myself to see if i can see where the water is getting in. i don't want to risk giving the car back right away and getting it back even worse like the last time.

even although the car has not been fully tested as it was supposed to be, i don't blame the dealer. peugeot have had over 1 year to get the car right and are obviously still failing to deliver cars of satisfactory quality.

i will let everyone know how things go.

derek

You poor sod, hope it sorts itself out, otherwise we will all have to drive to Scotland to sort this out.

Derek, I am SO SORRY I was right

It really is getting beyond a joke now.

E-mail me and we will plan some more assertive action - else they will play us against each other.

Thanks Derek and also to Rob for explaining your experiences with your new Pugs, that information is invaluable to me, as I'm sure it is to lots of other people looking at the Forum and thinking of buying a new CC.

I now know what I'm going to do when I speak to the dealer tomorrow. Going to Tell them I have no plans after all to sign for another Pug until I hear either from Peugeot or on the grapevine that they have fixed the leak problem on the new cars.

I still love my current Pug though. Since my leak problem is annoying but no more at present, I'll keep hold of it at least for another few months while we wait to see what Peugeot plan to do.

Hello

Like rachel, i think my dealer has managed to fix my leak, if you want i can get details from them on the fix(s), although they say the fix is available from Pug UK. But i understand you annoyance. If they know how to sort it then the production line should be doing it.

I am planning to reject my car too!!

I've had it since November and its been back to peugeot 3 times for the roof & doors adjustment. Still no better though, in fact they've made it worse. The whole cabin creaks like mad & the brakes squeak like hell!!!

The seals have been on back order since the end of November and I've now just had enough waiting for the things.

I think I've been too patient with them, so its time to put the whole thing in writing and tell them they can have the damn car back

Its taken all the fun out of my new convertible.

Any advice for me?

PLEASE - everyone who either HAS or is GOING TO reject their cars, please e-mail me.

We need to be strong and of one voice so that we can get something sorted.

I am planning the way ahead now. Your help will help you and others

Lisa,

my rejected CC was waiting on new seals, was supposed to take 7 days but took 16 days. i gave my dealer a hard time and if they hadn't arrived by the exact day they did then i had already told the dealer that the car would be rejected that day.

looking back, it was a lot of shouting over nothing as the new seals didn't make any difference and it was rejected anyway a few days later.
