Ok All
I am sorry to disappoint but I do not work for Peugeot.
I am a very proud owner of my 206cc and no I am not going to sell, however I have no faults on my March 2002 206cc unlike my 2001 model which did have 1 or 2 tiny niggles which Peugeot sorted for me and that’s why I bought a new one from them. However, having said that I intend to continue to write positive things about this great car as this is my honest finding.
In addition to this, I am not going to devalue my car by writing negative stuff on here that when put into perspective is simply not an issue and put people off buying a 206cc second hand.
Sure if I had a lemon like Robs or Dereks I would write about it on here and to Peugeot, but frankly some of the complaints on here are ridiculous.
great site except.......

Sag,
I'm glad you've got a fault free car, but you should appreciate your luck and not criticise others for expressing their frustration.
Of course there are some fault free CCs. The point of the survey on the forum is to assess the level of problems, please complete this to ensure it is not biased by only those with problems completing it. Many people (as indeed I did intially) come to the site looking for help or advice with problems. I have certainly had more help here than from my dealership at times. In that case there is bound to be a large amount of discussion about problems. I don't think we should stop helping and advising fellow owners just because we want to stop the word getting out that the cars aren't fault free.
As for the newer models being less troublesome, I'm not sure that's correct. Mine is a late old spec model, I was initially a bit narked by this, but after hearing about some of the multiplexing problems I'm quite relieved I have an earlier model. You pays your money you takes your chance.
If I were to buy a second hand CC I'd want to be aware of the problems. Be aware that Rob's lemon has been sold from the forecourt, maybe that new owner wishes they had read this forum.
