I've just come back from Mexico. I wouldn't recommend Cancun though - from what I saw its too touristy and commercialised. Go further south to Playa del Carmen. Its brilliant there and not over the top. I agree - go all-inclusive. You'll save yourself a packet on drink!

Did you go with a group of girls though or your other half. Just don't know whther Mexico would be good for a group of girlies?

Well i would recommend Turkey, but it will be damn hot in the summer.

I came back from Marmaris about 2 weeks ago and it was about 30C all day every day ! Everything is cheap and you get over 2.5 MILLION lira to the pound

Use the local buses or taxi boats if you want to get around.....

Try and book as high a level of hotel as possible, i booked a 4* but it is not exactly what you would expect at home and people that booked really cheap often regretted it.

I paid about £220pp for a week and dont bother with meals at the hotel as its cheap and easy to eat out...

Also if you like designer gear ...there is no copyright law so pretty good quality fake D&G, Von Dutch, Rockport, Burberry etc...

Pack light on the way out and take UK currency as well... you will buy cause its so cheap 4 * D&G tops for £10 total !! Rockport jackets £12-15
