I think you'd have to take the trim panel off the underside of the bootlid to spot it. However after that, nice easy fix.

The guy done the work with the boot lid opened with the roof still up before it folded in so did not have to remove the trim for easy access. If the boot was just open in the normal way then you would have to remove the trim. Took him about 6 hours to find the broken wires apparently. It must affect other cars tho...
