well done bergen, that's a good honest reply. it shows that people can use this forum for their own needs without throwing the rattle out of the pram when things don't go their own way.

same here, bergen.

i remember a piece of advice someone gave the last time we had this discussion:

if you don't like the topic then don't read the thread :!:

that's what i do and i works fine for me.

Denmark/Bergen, very positive and constructive advice. Think of the forum as a menu, if you don't like the taste, don't order! This is a community comprised of different genders, ages, cultures, etc - let's rejoice the fact that we have an open community that allows (within the reasons of normally socially acceptable discussion) all members to express themselves.
Cheers

Andyc209,

I think it was me that made the "thread hog" comment regarding you and Jo. I did state at the time that I was joking so, once again, I'm sorry for any offence

On a more general note, it seems to me that to own a cc and stay sane (sorry Robbie, you tried but I feel you were perhaps poorly suited to sanity anyway ;) ) you need a sense of humour - which is obviously going to come out in any posts you make. As has been noted before, humour can come across badly in print. Especially bad humour. Bad humour against an orange background comes across even worse.

I've nothing aginst Malc (do you feel a "but" coming on), I've hardly traded posts with him (any second now) , I know he's a bit of a mod guru, not in the Paul Weller way obvoiusly, BUT (there, I told you so) I'm not sure what he's trying to achieve by stating that he's leaving. If he wants us to ask him to reconsider, then I for one would certainly do that, if this forum is to continue to thrive then surely "the more the merrier" is the way to go.

As for an off topic area, I'd probably spend more time reading that section than any other ;)

-Justin.

Hmm, colours quite close to what comes out of ones mouth on a Friday night, 8 lagers, a vindaloo, an a firedance to the nearest convenience.
