Both of my bumpers fitted with no gaps. The bumper is not noticeably heavier, that is a poor excuse. Unless your car has been involved in a frontal collision and has damaged the mountings then that is also rubbish and from the pics you sent out there was no problem when the original bumper was fitted hence unless some damage was done after said photo then the people fitting you gt bumper have done the damage to any mountings. But I still can’t see that as the bumper screws upwards and if the mountings are damaged surly the whole bumper would fall off!
At the end of the day they sound pretty dodgy. I can guarantee that the fog lights on my gt bumper are the same as the gti style bumper as is the wheel arch undergaurds. Two things your fitter has incorrectly informed you on.
I think its time you got hold of the head office. I changed my bumpers with no instruction and have had no training and yet a dumbo like me can fit them then a dealership/ body shop should have no problem.

OK. That’s right if you have a 1.6
You need a set of torx head spanners and something sharp to get beneath the plastic rivets. A jack would help just to raise the gap under the arch, but for goodness sake do not use the standard jack!
The torx heads screws/bolts are like a star indented shape. The easiest way to see one is possibly under the car where the bumper mounts to the car they are about 1.5 cm in diameter.
This is going to be a bit sketchy. But the first thing you need to do is remove the under arches. This is fairly simple. They are held in to place by 1cm diameter black removable rivets.
Get a sharp piece of plastic of a knife and tuck it under the inner diameter of the rivet and pull towards you. The rivet should just release.
There are a few of these holding the under arches up and there are also some more rivets beneath the bonnet. Which is part of the Peugeot badged grille. I think there are about 4 across the top, but this will only loosen said panel. The badged part has a torx screw right at the back of the badge, which is a pig to get too. And this panel is also secured by two snaps in fixings on each side just under the lights. You need to get the under arches removed to get to the backside of these snap in fixings. Use wd40 or something and let it soak. And push them hard. Its not nice and you need to be careful here. Once all the above is removed you should see all the bumper torx screw fixings that need to be removed.
If you need some clearer instructions I will write some up for you, but that will not be until Friday.

Just a follow up question on GT bumpers. For the rear, is the exhaust extended so that it goes to the edge of the new bumper that is further away from the body of the car? otherwise if it stayed at the factory length, would it be out of view from the rear?
Hopefully the guys that have installed the rear GT bumper can provide some insight.
Thanks

You get a piece of pipe with the bumper. The end of the silencer needs to be cut and the new piece of pipe fitted with the supplied brackets. Without the extension the back bumper looks crap. I believe Devil do an exhaust that is already the correct length for the GT bumper and I would imagine the standard Grand Tourism exhaust is longer than standard, but I will wait for my exhaust to go before I change it for one of the proper items.

So you've got the GT rear bumper as well. Did you get both the front and rear bumper in a package? Do you know what the parts number is for the front and rear package? I'm trying to confirm that parts no. 9614R3 is correct. Did you also have to get the foglight kit separately? What does this kit include? is it just the glass and fitting that goes onto the front bumper, but it will still use the existing light itself? You get a piece of pipe with the bumper. The rear bumper was at my local dealership with a load of bits. I believe it was part of an accessory kit, but someone brought the rear bumper and bits back and just kept the front GT bumper. The bits included the section and fittings for the exhaust, front under wings, which I did not use as they are the same as the 2.0 SE under-wings and there was also some kind of adhesive, but do not have a clue what that was for. I just went to the parts department and got said stuff at a reduced cost as it had been hanging around in the dealership. I then purchased the front bumper and side trims for a standard grand tourism model. Haggled a bit and got another 10% off of that too.
The fog lights for the GT bumper are the same as the 2.0 se model and later 1.6's If that is your car in the picture then they should just swap over with no problems. I think its just two screw on each light.
