I was thinking more along the lines of a TVR Chimera or something else from Blackpool.

Ooops - read through this again. Missed the 220 first time round.

The son wants to know if its standard manufacture or modded?

Congratulations Lyndon

You are "almost" right...
I bought Lotus turbo Esprit!
Am i turning to English or what
And no I haven't sold my CC, at least i have a car which i can use in winter
I sold my Citroen race-car  and bought -84 Lotus turbo Esprit, so what's your opinions british people...
Here is a small picture from our new toy http://www.htk.fi/public/citreseau/lelu.jpg
It's got only 57000miles on clock and it was repainted and interior was re-leathered (couple of years ago). It's got white leather with red seams, it's very clean, so pity that the winter is coming...
I haven't been interested about Lotus-cars but when i saw that one in our Historic Race show (btw. my cc has been also in that show ) i was interested! And my friend was interested about my race-car so i could get a new toy ;)
btw. if i need some parts to my Lotus what's the place to get those?
In last weekend i was in our town's motor track (just parking the car). There was "tuning car meeting" (called radalle.com). We get a trophy from there, cause the car was so good looking 8) So i think not a bad purchase. In Finland there aren't many Lotus turbo Esprits, i think 4 exists (which include mine).

So let the discussion continue... what's your important opinions :P

Actually there aren't any good forums about Esprit  at least as good as this forum ;)
Couple i have found, here is one of those: http://www.pistonheads.com/default1.htm and there is forums/lotus/esprit.
So any info would be grateful ;) My Lotus was build in Hethel's factory, i check it from my "VIN-code". http://www.espritfactfile.com/ from there i found that VIN decoder. You just put your chassis number in it and it gives detailes about your car, for instance i have options: heater & A/C and my car was sold to USA.
Btw. i remember this car somewhere 90-92 one guy in our town bought it when he was in UN-ifor (is that the right word?). It was in garage many years (cause he was abroad) and the rumour were in our town that someone has a Lotus esprit, it was a very special car back then.
I know also http://www.lotusespritworld.com which helped a lot by learning about the car ;)
But i appreciate if someone has any info about where to get parts from 8)
How common Esprit is in England, i thought you were suggesting that for my new car right away
