Col, there's excellent shopping in Reading... and Bicester (on the M40) has a designer outlet too, but it's a bit posh for me... Swindon is nice, but the 4 junctions down the M4 is more like 6 and takes an hour! But worth it for cheap levis
Thanks Pauline

You can explain where the shopping bits are when we meet, I fancy doing a bit of shopping when i'm down there

OK. Sounds like there is plenty of interest.

TGI Friday in the centre of town seems like the best location put forward so far.

Now all we need is a date. 20th August?

Vince.

Being my birthday weekend I might not be able to make any date that weekend. This depends on whether I am going to be whisked away somewhere nice (I can dream!)
But I will let you know as soon as I do what I will be doing to celebrate and whether I will be about.

Well when you want to be whisked away its away from where you live isn't it!
There are some nice parts of Reading honest!!!!

Weekday evening is fine with me but not sure on others.

Hopefully they will post and let us know!

Wish i could come...and i spent 7 years living in Swindon till Jan this year. Just a word of warning about the Designer Outlet Village though - its the kind of place where you will go one time and spend far too much money on numerous special shiny things, and other times its pants...but, you pays yer money and takes yer chance i s'pose...;)

Hello all

I'm gonna get an opportunity to go down south for 5 days in August for training and i thought it would be a great chance to meet some of you guys and gals. As i know a lot of yous are from near london, so do you fancy meeting up and saying "hello"?

col
Notice how Col mentioned meeting up with people from "Near London". Correct me if i'm wrong but Swindons not too near London...
However, a convoy of CC's cruising round the "Magic Roundabout" in Swindon would be mighty fine....!
Oh yeah, if you do go to Swindon, literally next door to the Outlet village is a Go-Kart track (indoor) that's usually quiet on weekdays....now that could be fun! ;)
