Mpg figures anyone??

With the aircon off it improves by about 5mpg, but carrying bikes it loses a good 10+

May I ask how you got these figures? 5mpg loss from air con seems alot to me ? I can beleive the 10mpg with bikes on the back .... I read somewhere that people using the england flags on there cars lost 1-2 mpg doing 60mph .... which ammused me :D
