thanks guys, i just wonder why the original bsi had no faults on pp2000 and was unable to read the roof ecu, strange but at least its done now :)

HEY guys, I have the same (apparent) issue... So there is no 'bong' or chime when I try to open the roof, so no apparent signal at all, windows don't work, roof of course can't work but mirrors work fine... I was reading the thread and can't exactly understand what was the fix... What are the "bits"? What was the final fix? THANKS AGAIN!

I have a 2006 petrol 1.6 manual transmission 206cc ...

The most common cause of no bong is a faulty roof catch (the ones on top of the windscreen). Often, a spray of contact cleaner (not WD40, it's a dirt magnet) into them does the trick.
