The fact that she has got this far shows what a tough and determined cookie she must be so she'll come on in leaps and bounds now. What a fantastic feeling for you all after all the stress of the last few weeks. Stories like this make an ITU nurseshe'll still need a bit of work on getting her more mobile but she can walk, just steps/stairs that are a struggle but by god she'll get there
Have any of you been back up to visit ITU since she left there? Some patients and relatives find that it really helps them.
On that note - I'm on night duty tonight so I'd better get moving!!
Life's too short to drive around with your roof up.

I went back to the spinal unit where i spent 7 months for the 1st time yesterday.
Was really looking foward to it but once i got there it was mad.thought i was going to faint, just dripping with sweat.
One thing it did was make me realize how lucky i am to be walking.
So now ive some fresh BOTOX in me leg and im like benny hill on speed,so something good came of it.
Great news about your mum mate, things like this make us all sit up and take stock of our lifes.
