The well documented problem with the manifold, is probably know amongst most of you 2.0L CC/GTi owners, well I’ve been back and forth from various garages in Leicester who tell you the manifold has to come off etc... etc. When all it needs doing is the exhaust dropping off at the Cat.
I got mine fixed today, and it's such a relief, it's the best the car has driven since I’ve had it, and believe me I’ve contemplated selling it on a number of occasions!
If you live in Leicester, or the nearby, PM me and I’ll give you the details... we all know how difficult it is to get a good mechanic these days and he won't charge the earth either - not like the dealerships.
