Hi Alibee
Have you had any problems with your battery or the alarm?
And would it be possible to check what voltage is getting to the starter?
The reason I say this is because I once had an escort that had a similar problem, it would start some times and not others unless it was jumped, pushed or if I hit the starter with a stick after a month of this it became very unfunny so I started changing parts.
Parts I changed in order
Starter (Not That),
Battery (Not, that),
Solenoid (I found that it was not part of the starter like they are now)(Not that),
Ignition Barrel (Not that),
Lead from Battery to starter (May have).
Cleaned all connectors’ added preservative to oil and added a spike washer to the connectors that had a bolt to hold them on and then greased them. (That defanaly solved the problem with that).
I hope this is help full to you, as I would start with the connections first if I ever come across this problem again. As the expence is some thing I don't wont to go thorugh again. Not if i don't need to.
