Does anyone know how to work these things?
There is nothing in the manual about this and I can't for the life of me work out how the headlights can be automatic even though I have the button for them.
Any ideas?

the lights should be set to auto when you receive it according to the manual - not a surprise to say mines weren't.
instructions to set them to auto are as follows:
to disarm or activate the function:
- start with the key in the accessories position (1st notch)
- press the end of the stalk for more than 2 seconds
note: after the ignition is switched off and depending on the brightness, the lights remain on for 45 seconds or until the vehicle is locked
my personal view is that the auto lights work well - too well !!! they often come on during the day when there is no good reason for them to be on.
hope this helps.

I have the same problem as Derek - the lights come on when you don't want them. Is there a way of turning them off, without having to turn the engine off, and holding the stalk for 2 secs.
Thanks

jane,
not sure if there is another way. i was tempted to turn auto lights off completely but they are useful when it is actually dark
derek
p.s. i find auto wipers have a similar problem - but the complete opposite !
