206 cc 1.6 auto, strange noise when cold and changing gear
HI every one and a happy new year, I have had my 54 reg pug for about 14 months now its done around 52000 miles and has a full service history, it has now developed a strange clunking noise just before it changes gear at about 3000 revs when cold (best way i could describe it) I was wandering if any-one has experienced this and has any info please. thanks Ade

Assuming trans oil level is correct, I would try changing the fluid, and if it's dirty or burnt, then change the filter too. A high percentage of autobox problems stem from overheated fluid.
Cheers Col.
