Can't remove locking wheel nut!

Post by williamraff »

Hi folks, can anyone advise where I can get the correct locking wheel nut remover for our 2001 2.0cc. The car already has the correct one but it just slips off one of the front wheels.
Failing this, what is the best way to remove the offending nut :?

Thanks,Will :)

Dont know about getting another correct locking nut remover but my partner had the same problem (on a diff car) and a local garage managed to remove the offending wheel nut and he bought new ones to replace.Didn't cost much a few quid at garage.
Ex 206 CC'er.
Loved every minute...well nearly!

Update 18/06/2020 - I'm back!!

impact socket on the end of the key, failing that it's a drill out or cold chisle to loosen,a good tip is to leave all the other bolts in and done up tight this will make it easier for the locking one to turn as there is less pressure against it.

Quick update - all sorted now - local tyre place got it off in a second and didn't charge - not sure what they used but I will be going back there for my tyres - good old fashioned customer service is not dead!
All the best,Will.
