I was just wondering if any one has experienced the same problem I had yesterday? I was driving from my local petrol garage when I noticed that I couldnt tell how fast I was actually driving. The needle on the dial was at 0 and the Rev needle was exactly the same and i had just filled up my car for a full tank and the needle was at empty. As per usual you call peugeot and they dnt know why it dont work. After calling the AA out the car started the next day and the car ACTUALLY worked finally!!! Will this happen again?

See my post "Dead electrics" (not the most useful of titles looking back at it) or Hairdon's "All dials went out..." post in this forum - but currently some way down on page 2.

To answer your question - it may happen again - but after a software upgrade I've had 3500 more miles with speedo, lights etc all working fine. Just need the weather now to get that roof down a bit more.

Anyone know if Cornwall's going to be sunny next week...?

Also look under "dial failure" in the discussion section as the same happen to me only once. Peugeot were unable to locate the problem and said I had to bring it too them when it actualy happens. Pity it was a sunday afternoon!

I had the same thing when fiddling with the trip counter reset, the whole dash just died! Scard the hell out of me, but I pressed the counter reset again and they came back on...

Well my problem is now fixed. Peugeot had no idea why this happened and they actually took my car in and refitted the dial section completely. Touch wood the car and dials are working fine.

We had the same problem with ours. One day all the dials went dead. It never happened again. We told our dealer about what happened - they didn't ask any questions they just said bring it in. They then replaced the whole dial mechanism thingy. So far so good...

Blimey, this is infectious. Happened to me on the drive home tonight - all dials dropped to zero, mileage displayed showed "------", but radio carried on and engine still running (revved it to make sure!). Will mention it to my friendly dealer tomorrow

It happened to me - 3 times! Was driving along - then dials all dropped to 0 although the electronic dash was working. Took it in for the garage to have a look and they said they fitted a new dial fittment (or something along those lines!) - although it's happened a further 2 times in severe frost - rather dangerous when driving as don't know how much to slow down for the cameras!

Went out about an hour ago to fill up (thank god my dials came back earlier) driving back home the dials went dead again. I had backlights thank god but no dials then went out and started up 10 minutes ago all is OK. Why won't they fail when a grease monkey checks them out??? :redhot:
