I'm starting to think the neighbours think I've lost the plot

Hi,
As the title above states I'm starting to think the neighbours, are starting to think I'm slowly losing the plot.
Why would that be?
Well when I've got nothing better to do I really enjoy tinkering around with my little Peugeot.
Whether it's cleaning or getting my hands dirty on the oily bits, I could spend all day tinkering around with it.
As the neighbours walk past I can see by their expressions and there passing comments to me that they judge me as being OCD on my iron chariot.
Sometimes I wish I had a place where I was not overlooked by anybody to which I could mess around with my car to my heart was content.
Over the years I've always been the same in this regard.
I suppose I'm old school and it probably shows as most of cars I've owned have lived a long life with careful maintenance.
I find in today's modern society, vehicles are just treated as throw away objects and are never maintained properly which is a shame.
