Hi again,
As we know the weather's been exceptional here in the UK for the last few weeks and I've been enjoying driving around with the top down catching some much needed sun rays.
The car been behaving really well since I bought a new battery for it.The small random electrical gremlins seem to of sorted themselves out now that the battery is fine fettle.
MPG has also got better, now the warmer weather has arrived and it's currently returning around 40 mpg.
The only niggle that I'm getting is that the heater very randomly stops working out on a given drive .
It happens about once every two months on just one drive out.
I'm still trying to fathom out why it's doing this.
The heater matrix is hot so there's no blockages or air locks and the head gasket seems to be just fine,so it's making me think it's something to do with the servo motor that controls the direction and heat flow of the climate control.
As it happens once in a blue moon I'm not to overly worried about it.
This weekend I'm going to fit the chrome hoops I got for a bargain price down at the scrap yard. There in perfect condition and I paid (I memory serves my right) £5 for them.
I know it's a cheap convertible given it's age, but it does look very nice and I think they've aged really well.
Anyway all the very best
Johnny
