When sspeaking with Pug Oz the other day I pointed out that the vehicle spec on their website is inconsistent with the spec I had been advised verbally. Seems it is the pre October "old" spec they have listed. They said they'd look into corr4cting it.

Thank God for that, It took them long enough to put anything about the 206cc on their site besides that 'coming soon, register your interest' which I did and never heard another thing from them.

Fiona, you've sparked a gripe that I had forgotten. I too registered more than once and got nothing. Recently though, as I've started making nose, my calls are returned from Pug Oz.

If you ever have problems getting information - or your dealer has the same problem; let me know about it. I have a receptive ear at Peugeot Australia.

Thanks for that at least someone is trying to get them to get things happening here!! I rang a dealer in Nambour on the Sunshine Coast about 1 hour north of Brisbane to ask what his waiting list was like and he told me that my car would be here three months after I order it. He couldn't understand why Brisbane told me 6-9 months. He had a 'firedance' 2.0 for sale - this colour isn't going to be available in Oz. The Toowoomba dealer had one in 'cayman green'- this isn't available here either!! but it was built in Sept 01 when I asked him about the roof problems he said that he didn't know what I was talking about and that there weren't any - yeh right mate! he is just in denial. How long have you got left to wait...should only be a few weeks?? Exciting isn't it!

Hi Fiona. The vehcles you have seen were Sep 2001 production and were brought out as demo's. The first "for sale" shipment arrived late December and were Oct 2001 production (new spec) and comprised predominately 1.6 Auto's. The next shipment (which mine is on) will be here in March and is Jan 2002 production.

Peugeot Australia at this time have no say over what comes in - it's a matter of take what they can get. This is why I missed out on an Aegean Blue with black leather, but I was offered a silver with black leather and I'm happy with that.

Re the roof problems. They have said that they are aware that some owners have had problems however do not go as far as to say it's a flaw in the vehicle. They did say if anyone had a problem it would be fixed.

I've been very pleased with the responsiveness I've had from Peugeot Australia. They respond to my e-mails and even follow up with a phone call. They're aware that I'm quite active developing an owners group here in Oz and they welcome it. If you find yourself struggling for information, drop me a line. My e-mail is linked in the e-mail section of Lyndon's home page.

Looking forward to keeping in touch

Roofs leaking seem to be a real hit and miss.
We have had our Oz 206CC for 2 weeks now - a September build.
I washed it yesterday by hand, and sprayed water straight at the roof seals. Not a drop appeared inside.
I wonder if the problem could be because people don't close the catches after raising the roof - they certainly cause the whole roof assembly to move a few mm.

It's a fun car - worth the wait (so far!)

I think that's a bit simplistic, you have to close the catches after opening the roof, you can't drive with your roof flapping in the wind!

The leaks are due to the nature of the vehicle, its partly a senstive process of getting the doors and roof to put sufficent pressure on the seals to keep the water out of the cabin, plus checking the line of the seal is correct to allow the water to run straight through. As you can tell I'm a bit of an expert on water leaks!

But mine doesn't leak while it's raining! It's just what's collected in the hollow seals above the side windows beforehand that pours into your lap when you brake.

Nothing that 2 squares of loo roll stuffed under the clips won't solve - perhaps Peugeot should bring out colour coded loo roll (Platinum Silver please)

Pauline,

I had the exact same problem as you.

They fixed it .......

It now leaks even more and when the car isn't moving and now also on the passenger side.

I can't trust my dealer to fix anything without buggering up something else.

The motion leak is curable. Not quite so sure about leaks caused through dealer incompetence though!

Fourth time lucky for me Rob. Despite the torrential rain over the last week, the car is now dry as a bone   Bet you're counting down the days until you get your new car - not just the excitement of the new car, the prospect of having a dry bum when you drive too!

Rachel,

If your leak was the one where the water came in around the roof catch, could you e-mail me with the info on what they done to fix it. Might be useful for my incompetent dealer

Thanks
